After literally throwing away the final game of the Cubs series, the Blue bounced back nicely last night and defeated the Snakes, 6-3. Odallis Perez again turned in another quality start, pitching 6 strong innings, while JD Drew continued his torrid month of April, driving in 3 of the 6 runs with a home run and a big 2 out single in the 7th that would give us a 6-2 lead. Baez, after suffering a blown save in Wednesdays contest, would record the final 2 outs to notch his 4th save of the season. Takashi Saito, our 36 year old " rookie " from Japan, turned in another outstanding performance pitching 1 1/3 scoreless innings, making a strong case to be our middle man.
GAME NOTES
Prior to last nights game going back to last season, the Snakes had an 8 game winning streak against the Blue
Former Dodger Shawn Green, off to a slow start, still had 2 hits off Dodgers pitching. Fans booed Shawn throughout the game.
James Loney, in perhaps his final game wearing Dodger blue before going back to Vegas with Nomar slated to return, collected 2 hits himself including a big run producing double in the 4th that broke up a 1-1 tie.
