2007 PREDICTIONS

Allright, with the season opener just around the corner, here are my picks for the 2007 season.

NL WEST

1. Dodgers

Great balance all around.  Could win between 90-95 games this year.

2. Padres

Great pitching staff, possibly one of the best in the NL, but will be slowed down by a weak offense

3. D-Backs

Plenty of young talent.  Possible 1-2 tandem of Webb and Johnson can only help

4. Giants

Addition of Zito will help young pitching staff in a team other wise great for and old-timers game

5. Rockies

Were in the race until late August last season, but still have too much young prospects.  Loss of Jennings will hurt the rotation.

AND THE REST OF THE NL

CENTRAL

1. CARDINALS

2. BREWERS

3. CUBS

4. ASTROS

5. REDS

6. PIRATES

Cards still have offensive punch, but will not be as strong pitching wise.  Brewers could be surprise team in this division.  85 wins may be enough this year to win the central

NL EAST

1. METS

2. PHILLIES (WC)

3. BRAVES

4. MARLINS

5. NATIONALS

Mets return many of last years team, but the pitching may be a little bit vulnerable this season.  Phillies ready to challenge Mets for the division , and you can never count out Atlanta.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

WEST

1. ANGELS 2. A’S 3. RANGERS 4. MARINERS

CENTRAL

1. TWINS 2. TIGERS 3. WHITE SOX 4. INDIANS 5. ROYALS

EAST

1. RED SOX 2. YANKEES ( WC ) 3. BLUE JAYS 4. ORIOLES 5. D-RAYS

NLDS

Dodgers over Phillies, Mets over Cards

ALDS

Angels over Yankees

Red Sox over Twins

NLCS

Dodgers over Mets

Red Sox over Angels

WS

Dodgers over Red Sox

So now I am on record for my 2007 picks.  OK, let’s here from you and you other bloggers as well.  GO DODGERS !!!  And best of luck to your team in 2007
