Our closer, Jonathan Broxton.  Bid Bad John had a good season, as he would save 36 games for us, but……Oh what we would do for that one save that eluded us in the NLCS…..OH JOHNNY…..

Randy doing some long toss.  Randy would be our workhorse this year, having perhaps his best season in his career.  Too bad we couldnt retain him in the off-season.

Ace of the future ?

40 Years of Padres Baseball.  Check out that young, sleek ballplaya on the lower right.  It’s Tony Gwynn !!!!

Matt Kemp doing long toss between innings.  I had predicted that he would be go 30/30 and he was 4 homeruns away from making look the part of a genius.  The scary part about THIS BISON….. His best is  STILL yet to come from this potential 5-tool player.

MANNY ! MANNY ! MANNY !  In his place in MANNYWOOD SOUTH !!!!  His 50 game absence would not slow the Blue Crew one bit.  Here’s hoping he can give us one last great hurrah in ’10.

A familiar sight.  This would be the first of close to 95 of these this year ( Save for an occasional walk-off, 6 coming from D-R-E !!!! ).  The Dodgers would win 4-1, defeating the  soon to be ex-Padre Jake Peavy.
